Terms and Conditions

GeorgeBookings.com is an online directory and booking platform that connects users ("Users") with independent local businesses in George, Western Cape ("Businesses") who list their services on the Platform. GeorgeBookings facilitates the discovery of Businesses and, where enabled, the booking of appointments and processing of payments for those bookings.

GeorgeBookings is not the provider of the services listed on the Platform. Each Business is an independent entity, solely responsible for the services, specials, and information it provides. GeorgeBookings does not employ, control, or supervise any Business.

• You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent/guardian, to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details.
• You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering or creating a listing.

• Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their own listings, including pricing, specials, availability, and contact details.
• GeorgeBookings reserves the right to remove or suspend any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms.
• A Business's presence on the Platform is not an endorsement by GeorgeBookings of the quality of its goods or services.

• When you make a booking through the Platform, you are entering into a direct agreement with the Business for the service booked — not with GeorgeBookings.
• GeorgeBookings facilitates the booking and, where applicable, payment, but is not a party to the service agreement between you and the Business.
• It is your responsibility to arrive on time for bookings and to communicate directly with the Business regarding any changes.

• Where a Business accepts online payment through the Platform, payments are processed securely via PayFast (Pty) Ltd, a licensed third-party payment gateway.
• GeorgeBookings does not store your card or banking details.
• Refunds and cancellations are governed by our separate Refund and Cancellation Policy.

• Users may rate and review Businesses they have booked with.
• Reviews must be honest, based on genuine experience, and must not contain defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content.
• GeorgeBookings reserves the right to remove reviews that breach these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Attempt to interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Platform.
• Scrape, copy, or republish content from the Platform without permission.

All content on the Platform — including the GeorgeBookings name, logo, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to GeorgeBookings and may not be copied or used without prior written permission. Businesses retain ownership of the content (photos, descriptions) they upload, but grant GeorgeBookings a licence to display it on the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• GeorgeBookings is not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any service booked through the Platform — this responsibility lies solely with the Business.
• GeorgeBookings is not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from a booking, service, or interaction between a User and a Business.
• GeorgeBookings does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

You agree to indemnify GeorgeBookings against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.

GeorgeBookings may suspend or terminate a User's or Business's access to the Platform at its discretion, particularly in cases of fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
